The Twelve Days of Christmas Day Three-unabridged
I want to look at day three of the Twelve Days of Christmas and the message
that many people believe that is hidden in the lyrics. As we learned in the
last few days, the true love talked about is Jesus, the Son of God and the
Partridge is also a representation of Jesus Christ. On day two, the two turtle
doves represent the Old and New Testaments. On the third day of Christmas my true
love gave to me, three French hens. These birds represent faith, hope, and
love. This third day gift refers back to the love chapter
written by the Apostle Paul.
gifts I have for you today are my favorite three courses I have purchased in
the last few years that have made the most impact on my creative life.
1-The first course is the best value I have found anywhere online. It is Pam Caughy's Powerful Design Personal Color coupled with her Art and Success PRO membership.
This course and membership are two different things but work very well together. They are totally self-paced and are meant for busy people as well as the full- time artist. Let’s look first at the course. There are eight modules and over 50 lessons and several downloadable PDFs to help clarify and solidify your understanding of powerful design and personal color.
Pam demonstrates how to "play", "explore" and "clarify" in the life of 16 new paintings that she creates in this course. She will show you how each painting develops, and along the way you will see her experiment, take risks, get stuck, get unstuck, dig for treasure, find gems, edit out the things that clutter her work, and use subtlety and finesse to feature what she loves. Pam includes assignments to help make your perception of color and value stronger. You will also gather information that is meaningful to you in your sketchbook, document your work along the way and learn key questions to ask yourself when you think you're painting is finished!
The idea is to finish the 16 paintings you begin in this course. Having said that, it isn’t important to work quickly or try and win a race. There is no race. This is a self-paced course and if you fill your visual toolbox with the lessons she has for you, study each lesson thoroughly and understand each concept presented, I believe you will be able to create work that is powerfully designed, personally you, and then go on to create future work with momentum, confidence, and joy.
The cost of the course is $599 (with options to pay over two or three months). You have lifetime access to the course, videos and downloads. There is a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee!
Specific to the membership you should check out the link above. There are hundreds of hours of videos and assignments. It will keep you in discovery mode for a long time.
2-Milan Art Institute Mastery Class. This one-year, online program is designed to help you transform your passion for art into a full-time profession from anywhere in the world. They will teach you STEP-BY-STEP how to elevate your skills, find your artistic voice, build your personal brand, contact galleries and market your artwork online. The course is designed to be completed in one year based on 10-15 hours per week. They have payment plans for one or two years. After the course is paid for you have lifetime access.
3-Life Book is a year-long mixed media art class focused on creativity and well-being, organized by Tamara Laporte from Willowing Arts. 2022 will be the 7th year I have done the course. What I love about this course is that you are introduced to 31 different artists and have over 80 different projects in the year. You have lifetime access. The course is $190 US and they have 30% OFF coupons.
